Basketball Recap: Brunswick Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Brunswick Christian Academy managed to keep up with Faith Baptist Christian Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders, falling 50-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-28 back in December of 2024.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy was led to victory by Madison Starr and Emree Mattingly. Starr posted 17 points along with six steals and five boards, while Mattingly had eight points in addition to ten rebounds and eight steals. Starr has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophie Sellars, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Brunswick Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Brunswick Christian Academy will head out to take on Southside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they will challenge Coastal HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
