Softball Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lewis County's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Blazer Tomcats on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tomcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Lewis County moved to 12-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Blazer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis County will face off against Mason County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blazer, they will challenge Rowan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tomcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
