Volleyball Recap: Benton Central Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Benton Central came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Faith Christian Eagles. The Bison have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 21-25, 25-14.

Benton Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Minniear, who had 25 assists and three digs. Minniear has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played. Isabelle Adams was another key player, getting 12 assists and five digs.

Benton Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Faith Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Caya Stillings and Kelsey Olehy. Stillings had 17 digs and three assists, while Olehy had 15 assists and three aces.

Benton Central's record is now 21-5. As for Faith Christian, their defeat ended an 11-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-4.

Benton Central and Faith Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Bison (ranked 31st) will meet Seeger (ranked 94th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Faith Christian will square off against North Vermillion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (80 vs. 358).
