Basketball Recap: East Wake Academy Comes Up Short

East Wake Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Research Triangle Raptors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 53-45 loss last Tuesday.

Research Triangle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chaitan Kodi out in front who posted 12 points and three steals. That's the most steals Kodi has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Akash Immani, who scored 15 points and six boards.

East Wake Academy's record is now 4-16. As for Research Triangle, their victory bumped their record up to 7-17.

East Wake Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Research Triangle, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Franklin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
