Football Recap: East Henderson Takes a Loss

East Henderson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They lost 34-8 to the Madison Patriots. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

As for Madison, their record now sits at 2-0. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly 26 points.

Madison got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dallas Bartlett out in front who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. Ivan Leonard was another key rusher, rushing for 152 yards and one score while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Henderson will head out to face off against Rosman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
