Basketball Recap: Reed City Comes Up Short

Reed City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the St. Johns Redwings, falling 65-41. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Redwings are ranked 220th).

Reed City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for St. Johns, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Reed City will face off against Standish-Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Standish-Sterling's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for St. Johns, they will head out to challenge Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
