Volleyball Game Preview: Park City Miners vs. Stansbury Stallions

Park City is a perfect 4-0 against Stansbury since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Miners will face off against the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. Stansbury took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Park City, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Park City made easy work of Hillcrest and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Stansbury lost 3-0 to Murray on Tuesday. The Stallions have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Murray scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

The victory got Park City back to even at 8-8. As for Stansbury, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Park City beat Stansbury 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
