Kalskag piles up the points against Akiak

Recap: Kalskag Grizzly Bears vs. Akiak Thunderbolts
The Kalskag Grizzly Bears's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Akiak 51-21 on the road. The victory was just what Kalskag needed coming off of a 48-24 defeat in their prior contest.
Kalskag's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danielle Levi led the charge by scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristyn Gregory-Ausdahl, who scored ten points.
The win got Kalskag back to even at 1-1. As for Akiak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Kalskag's road trip will continue as they head out to face Aniak at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. Akiak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tuluksak on January 19th. Tuluksak is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
