Football Recap: Covenant Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Zeb Cox and Caleb Jankowski

Covenant Christian lost against Heritage Christian back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 23-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Covenant Christian had strong showings from Caleb Jankowski, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Zeb Cox, who threw for 172 yards and two TDs. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 79 yards.

Eli Nix produced another solid performance throwing for 219 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 67 yards and one score for Heritage Christian.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Heritage Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
