North Fort Myers barely beat Riverdale the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Knights never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Red Knights, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Jordyn Prado was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
Prado wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaliyah Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Williams has posted since back in February. Another was Abigail Hynes, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The victory (which was North Fort Myers' third in a row) raised their record to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Riverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Coming up, North Fort Myers will be playing in front of their home fans against LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to take on Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Terriers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
