Basketball Recap: Hermleigh Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Hermleigh took on Westbrook on Monday. The Hermleigh Cardinals came up short against the Westbrook Wildcats, falling 62-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Caleb Browne was nothing short of spectacular for Westbrook: he went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Browne a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Browne, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Hermleigh's loss dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Westbrook, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

As of now, neither Hermleigh nor Westbrook have any future games scheduled.
