Baseball Recap: Cosby Takes a Loss

Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Cocke County Fighting Cocks, falling 16-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cosby saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Baker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Baker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Cosby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Cocke County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Cosby will challenge Cordia at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cocke County, they will venture away from home to take on Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
