The Lakeland Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Kettering 63-28 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Lakeland as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Loss or not, Kettering got some senior leadership from Diego Rocha and Kevin Meredith. Rocha scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Meredith. scored ten points.
Lakeland's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Kettering, their loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland will square off against Walled Lake Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kettering will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hazel Park at 7:00 p.m. on February 23rd. Hopefully Kettering focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
