Softball Recap: Sabine Pass Comes Up Short

Sabine Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 19-1 to the Big Sandy Wildcats. If the Sharks were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sabine Pass' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Big Sandy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sabine Pass will face off against rival Spurger at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Big Sandy is set to challenge their familiar foe Hull-Daisetta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
