Recap: Sacred Heart Crusaders vs. Salem Wildcats
The Sacred Heart Crusaders posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Salem 55-20 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Sacred Heart as they're now sitting on three straight.
Raider Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was DJ Booth, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Sacred Heart's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Salem, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart will face off against Lumberton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Lumberton is ranked 271st, while Sacred Heart is ranked 256th). As for Salem, they will head out on the road to challenge East Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in East Marion's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Salem has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
