Volleyball Recap: GRACE Christian Comes Up Short

GRACE Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Asheville Christian Academy Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Leading Asheville Christian Academy to victory were Caroline Simpson and Rachel Bass. Simpson had 18 assists and three aces, while Bass had ten digs. Those three aces gave Simpson a new career-high.

GRACE Christian has already played their next match (against Coastal Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Calvary Day School on the 8th.
