Basketball Game Preview: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Columbine Rebels

The Arapahoe Warriors and the Columbine Rebels will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Arapahoe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Kent Denver, who was ranked tenth at the time (Arapahoe was ranked 14th). Arapahoe fell 80-69 to Kent Denver on Friday.

Meanwhile, Columbine unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 74-61 loss to Legend.

Arapahoe will have to contain Cash Boykin as he made an impact in Columbine's last game. He dropped a double-double on 31 points and 14 boards. Boykin's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Seth Hickman was another key player, putting up eight points.

Arapahoe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Columbine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Arapahoe took their victory against Columbine in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 58-32. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Boykin, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards.
