Basketball Recap: Holden Robertson Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Christian Academy of Louisiana brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They walked away with a 56-43 win over the Open Door Christian Academy Conquerors on Tuesday. Considering the Crusaders' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Christian Academy of Louisiana's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Holden Robertson led the charge by putting up 17 points along with eight assists and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Dorsey, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 19 rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Christian Academy of Louisiana was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Open Door Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jaxon Sandlin. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards. Sandlin has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Brock Reneau was another key player, earning eight points and six rebounds.
