Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal Titans vs. Catholic Crusaders

The Trinity Episcopal Titans will head out on the road to take on the Catholic Crusaders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Trinity Episcopal's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Saturday, Trinity Episcopal didn't have quite enough to beat Atlantic Shores Christian and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Seahawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Lawson Mcleod was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Trinity Episcopal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taegan Logan, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Catholic not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Christchurch School. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Seahorses recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Episcopal fell to 4-1. As for Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
