Volleyball Recap: Grovetown Snags Third Win in Last Four Games + How To Watch

Grovetown won the last time they faced Westside, and Abi Widener did her part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Widener, who had 16 assists and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Grovetown took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12.

Grovetown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-8 record this season. As for Westside, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Grovetown has already played their next matchup (against Augusta Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westside, they will challenge Cross Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season.
