Basketball Game Preview: North Side Steers vs. Paschal Panthers

The North Side Steers are taking a road trip to challenge the Paschal Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Side is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

North Side saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 67-44 to Temple Christian.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paschal duked it out withKennedale on Saturday. Paschal strolled past Kennedale with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Wildcats are ranked 95th).

Paschal's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for North Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

North Side took a serious blow against Paschal in their previous meeting on December 14th, falling 75-18. Can North Side avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
