Recap: Pewitt Brahmas vs. New Boston Lions
The Pewitt Brahmas lost against the New Boston Lions on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pewitt fell to New Boston 57-52.
When it comes to explaining why Pewitt lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Shaddix. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Wooda Betts was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Pewitt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for New Boston, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewitt will take on Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Boston, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Redwater at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Redwater focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
