Softball Recap: Daniel Takes a Loss

Daniel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pendleton Bulldogs. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Daniel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Brownlee, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Another was Brynn Fitzpatrick, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Daniel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Pendleton, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Daniel will challenge T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Pendleton, they will take on Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
