Baseball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Foothill challenged Washington Union on Monday. The Cougars took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Foothill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Modesitt, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Kaden Kitchens also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Washington Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Foothill will take on Frontier in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Washington Union, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hanford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Bullpups at the right time seeing as the Bullpups are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
