Baseball Recap: Italy Comes Up Short

Italy fell victim to Frost and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Polar Bears, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Friday.

Italy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Frost, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Italy will challenge Rio Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frost, they will take on Holland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.36 runs per game on average), something the Polar Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
