Basketball Recap: Gosnell Takes a Loss

Gosnell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 64-37 defeat at the hands of the Highland Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Rebels are ranked 59th).

Gosnell's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Gosnell has already played their next game (against Westside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Highland will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pocahontas at 5:00 p.m. Highland is facing Pocahontas at the right time seeing as Pocahontas is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
