Basketball Game Preview: Parkview Christian Academy Falcons vs. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family

Parkview Christian Academy will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Heritage Christian, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Parkview Christian Academy came out on top against Heritage Christian by a score of 56-47 on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 605th in Illinois, while the Defenders are ranked 234th in Indiana).

Parkview Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Collin Mulder, who posted 12 points along with eight steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of James Jefferson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Bishop McNamara, falling 80-27. The game marked Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9.

Parkview Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 47-44. Can Parkview Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
