Basketball Recap: Wadena-Deer Creek Takes a Loss

If Wadena-Deer Creek was riding high fresh off their 62-26 takedown of Pillager last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines fell to the Menahga Braves 44-39. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Braves: they've now lost four in a row.

Wadena-Deer Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Menahga, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow still isn't as good as their 22-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Wadena-Deer Creek will welcome Frazee at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Menahga, they will head out on the road to face off against Hawley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hawley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Menahga likes a good challenge.
