Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Casey Eliason and Audrey Rollins Lead Nease to Victory

Nease lost to St. Augustine back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 52-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Nease was led to victory by Audrey Rollins and Casey Eliason. Rollins shot 40% from the field on her way to 21 points, while Eliason went 6-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven boards. That's the most points Rollins has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Sage Pytel, who put up six points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, St. Augustine still got an impressive performance from Angel McClellon, who went 9-for-16 en route to 27 points. The game was McClellon's fourth in a row with at least 21 points.

Nease's record is now 4-2. As for St. Augustine, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Nease will take on Sandalwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Augustine, they will face off against Matanzas at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
