Basketball Game Preview: Clearview Clippers vs. Columbia Raiders

Clearview hasn't had much luck against Columbia recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Clearview Clippers will look to defend their home court against the Columbia Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Clearview lost to Vermilion on the road by a 60-44 margin. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Columbia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 45-39 to Smithville. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Smithies are ranked 54th).

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Clearview, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Clearview was taken down by Columbia 64-26 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Clearview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
