Basketball Recap: Aurora Takes a Loss

Aurora lost against Cuyahoga Falls back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aurora Greenmen fell to the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers 75-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Greenmen still had to take the loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cuyahoga Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Brickley, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten assists. Hayden Johnson was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Aurora's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Cuyahoga Falls, their record now sits at 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora will venture away from home to take on Tallmadge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cuyahoga Falls, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ellet at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
