Baseball Recap: Milken Find Success

Milken won the last time they faced New Roads and things went their way on Thursday too. The Milken Wildcats walked away with a 7-4 win over the New Roads Jaguars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Elijah Shokrian and Jonah Herschko did most of the damage at the plate: Shokrian scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Herschko scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Herschko a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Milken now has a winning record of 2-1. As for New Roads, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Milken will challenge Faith Baptist at 2:45 p.m. on Monday. As for New Roads, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars duke it out with the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
