Basketball Recap: Ferguson Takes a Loss

Ferguson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. The game between them and the Westwood Christian Warriors didn't end well, with the Ferguson Falcons falling 79-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Westwood Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Weir, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Devin Mcintyre, who went 8 of 10 en route to 20 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Ferguson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Westwood Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Ferguson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. Palmetto knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Ferguson likes a good challenge. As for Westwood Christian, they will head out to challenge Pinecrest Glades Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
