Baseball Game Preview: Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes Storm vs. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors

Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over HCYA. The victory was some much needed relief for the Storm as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool hadn't done well against Christian Life Preparatory recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Christian Life Preparatory. Considering the Warriors have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Paul Stedifor, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Nevarez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes' victory bumped their record up to 9-7-1.
