Holmes and Northeastern's match  on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Holmes turned on the heat in the second half with two  goals. The Holmes Aces put the hurt on the Northeastern Eagles with a sharp  5-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Aces, who have now won five games by three  goals or more  so far this season.
 Kate Foster and  Emma Parrish scored all five of Holmes' goals,  bringing their combined season tally to 33 goals.
The  victory made it two in a row for Holmes and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 11  goals over those two  contests. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Coming up, Holmes will host Pasquotank County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Holmes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9  goals per game  this season. As for Northeastern, they will head out to  challenge Hertford County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Northeastern has given up an average of 6.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
