Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chino Hills). They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Westlake Warriors on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.
Jocelyn Garcia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lyla Gonzalez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Chino Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Chino Hills and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Westlake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
