San Marcos entered their tilt with Saratoga on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 win over the Saratoga Falcons. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Falcons are ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Marcos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Saratoga, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
