Volleyball Game Preview: Verrado Vipers vs. Mountain Pointe Pride

The Verrado Vipers will challenge the Mountain Pointe Pride at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Verrado is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 3, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Desert Edge. Considering the last time the Vipers couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Verrado was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe came up short against McClintock on Friday, falling 3-0.

Mountain Pointe has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Verrado, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-8.
