Baseball Recap: Bradley Central's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bradley Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since March 7th.

Drake Allen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bradley Central is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 13-14-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Landon Rogers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bradley Central moved to 16-14-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Boyd-Buchanan, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-12-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradley Central will venture away from home to take on East Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will head out to challenge Grace Christian Academy on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight.
