Baseball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Shafter

Shafter waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Wasco Tigers 7-0. Considering the Generals have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Lukas Pena, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Wasco off the board.

On the hitting side, Shafter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Bill, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Shafter hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wasco struck out seven times.

Shafter's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.3 runs. As for Wasco, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Shafter nor Wasco have any future games scheduled.
