Softball Recap: Clarkstown North Takes a Loss

After flying high against Port Chester last Thursday, Clarkstown North came back down to earth. Clarkstown North lost 19-6 to Carmel on Wednesday. Clarkstown North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carmel apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Avery Milton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Winrow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Clarkstown North's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Carmel, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkstown North will venture away from home to square off against Pearl River at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmel, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
