Southport's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Warren Central Warriors. With that win, the Cardinals brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Hayli Pheonix and Natalie Vaeth did most of the damage at the plate: Pheonix went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Vaeth went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI were Pheonix's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rachel Pfieffer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Southport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren Central only posted a batting average of .167.
