Licking won the last time they faced Salem and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Licking and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Licking Wildcats challenge Crocker Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crocker's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Licking's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Salem, they are taking a road trip to challenge Potosi at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
