Softball Recap: Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Comes Up Short

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and Casey-Westfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Casey-Westfield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Samantha Hayes spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Casey-Westfield, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-3.
