Basketball Game Preview: Cabrillo Jaguars vs. Millikan Rams

Two dominant guards in Lincoln Dean and Jeremiah Hunt are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cabrillo Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Millikan Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cabrillo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cabrillo duked it out withJordan on Wednesday. Cabrillo was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Jordan. The Jaguars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Millikan came up short against Lakewood on Monday and fell 90-79. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (67), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Cabrillo will have to contain Hunt as he made an impact in Millikan's last game. He went 11 for 23 on his way to 32 points. Another player making a difference was Salvador Lara, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Millikan's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Cabrillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Cabrillo came up short against Millikan in their previous meeting on January 13th, falling 86-76. Can Cabrillo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
