Baseball Recap: Lipan Gets the Win

Lipan won the last time they faced Hamilton and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Chris Collins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Trew Phillips was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jackson Posey, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lipan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lipan now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Hamilton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Lipan and Hamilton will both be playing De Leon the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
