Basketball Game Preview: Bethune-Bowman Mohawks vs. Charleston Math & Science Riptide

The Bethune-Bowman Mohawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Charleston Math & Science Riptide at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bethune-Bowman is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Jenkins on Saturday. They were beaten by the Warriors 68-15.

Despite the defeat, Bethune-Bowman saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zaniyah Pelzer posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Charleston Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Scott's Branch, falling 42-11.

Charleston Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bethune-Bowman, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.
