Baseball Recap: East Union Takes a Loss

East Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Lenox Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-16 on June 10th.

East Union's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Lenox, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Coming up, East Union will look to defend their home field on Monday against Central Decatur at 5:30 p.m. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.71 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lenox, they will head out on the road to challenge Southwest Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
