Basketball Recap: Crystal Springs Takes a Loss

Crystal Springs lost against Jefferson Davis County last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crystal Springs Tigers lost 59-36 to the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Jaguars are ranked 75th).

Crystal Springs' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Jefferson Davis County, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Crystal Springs is facing Jefferson County at the right time seeing as Jefferson County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson Davis County, they will face off against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
