Softball Recap: Delaware Valley Triumphs

Delaware Valley's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Crestwood Comets. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Holly Olcott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Delaware Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cecelia Dickerson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs Dickerson has posted since back in April.

Delaware Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Crestwood, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

As of now, neither Delaware Valley nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
